How does the free trial work?
Install LumensOS and Pro is free for 6 months. No sign-up or card is needed, and the trial won’t charge you automatically. After it ends, dark mode turns off unless you choose a paid plan. Colour-vision and contrast tools remain free. The extension confirms the trial anonymously; it never involves the sites you visit. See the privacy page.
Can LumensOS help with colour blindness or colour-vision deficiency?
LumensOS includes tools to adapt page colours and simulate eight colour-vision profiles, including common forms of colour-vision deficiency. These settings can make some pages easier to distinguish, but individual needs vary. The free plan includes all profiles.
Is LumensOS free forever?
Colour-vision tools, all eight profiles, the WCAG AA contrast guard, link underlines and a strong focus ring stay free. Dark mode is free for 6 months, then requires a paid plan. The trial does not automatically charge you.
Will my settings stay the same on every site?
Your selected settings are saved in your browser and apply as you move between sites. If your Pro trial ends, your choices remain saved; dark mode resumes when you subscribe.
Does LumensOS collect my browsing history?
No. Page adjustments happen on your device. LumensOS does not send the pages you visit or your colour-vision settings. Billing is handled by Stripe; we keep a licence record and a one-way hash of your email. Read the privacy policy.
Can I cancel my LumensOS Pro subscription?
Yes. Manage or cancel anytime in two clicks from the extension’s “Manage billing”. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
LumensOS is a Chrome extension. One subscription covers up to three browsers. Restore Pro on a new browser with the email you paid with. We send a one-time code, and there is no password.
What if I’m not happy with Pro?
Email us within 30 days of a payment and we’ll refund it, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
